In order to import the goods to Turkey, you should be aware that your shipment can be stuck at the customs. Therefore, when importing goods to Turkey, usage of an authorized agency to carry out customs procedures is highly recommended. Before shipping, it is strongly advised to get in contact with Onur Customs Brokerage and get information about the process because Turkish customs procedures can be seen as complex. There can be various customs charges, such as customs duties (including 18 % V.A.T and stamp Tax), storage cost, ordino fee (clearance document which every shipment requiring formal customs clearance must have), and customs service fee and inside transportation.
Even if you agree to send your shipment door to door with a shipping agent, if it is stuck at the customs, you will be responsible for all the charges.When importing goods to Turkey, you should make the documentation correctly. So follow the instructions written below:
1- Inform Onur Customs Brokerage and for all documentation use the title and the address written below:

2- You must value of each goods, even if they have no value. Turkish Customs does not accept any invoice without any reasonable value. Put the phrase “free of charge, value for customs purposes only” on all the documents, especially invoice. Otherwise, you have to submit a bank transfer document for each shipment.
3- For temporary imports, ATA Carnet should be prepared; otherwise there is a need of assurance.
4- Any goods related to human sanitary such as mugs need special permission from Ministry of Agriculture. Medicine and Food & Beverages are not allowed.
5- There is a possibility for physical inspection. In order to avoid legal sanctions and any delay, information written on the documents has to be correct.
